"Not only is Joanna Burns an amazingly talented performer, she is great to work with. From the moment she walks in the door, you can tell she is there to have a good time. She engages students, and just puts everyone in a great mood. We can't wait to have her back this Fall!"
- Whitney Nicole Jorns - Assistant Director of Student Activities - Marymount University
"My students are seriously obsessed with you and are still talking about your show!"
- Allison Fisk - Devry University
“Joanna is an amazing performer. She is very personable and as soon as she opens her mouth the crowds come in. She was very easy to work with and spent time getting to know the audience. Everyone who attended had great feedback and cannot wait for her to return to Ship!”
- Ralie Heath, Graduate Assistant for University Union & Student Activities (CUB) - Shippensburg University
"Joanna had a great relationship with the audience, they really enjoyed her performance. And of course she is a wonderful singer, I'm sure everyone is waiting to have her back!"

Joanna Burns brings to the table a set of hands that were schooled under the influence of Ben Folds and a voice that's waiting for Whitney Houston to need backup singers again.
Up to and following the self-release of her 2008 EP "Music From & Inspired By," she has been wowing audiences in the tri-state area, sharing the stage with Harry Connick Jr, Ingrid Michaelson, Fountains of Wayne, The Click 5, Melissa Ferrick, and more. This past year, she began reaching fans on a wider spectrum, showcasing at both the NACA Mid-Atlantic Festival and Conference, and performing at over 50 colleges and universities throughout New England and into the Mid West.
What exactly can you expect to see at a live show? "I was recently told there is an element of theatricality to my show," she said. "It's definitely something I've been trying to achieve. Raw theatre…just full-out performance." |
